SHAH ALAM – Sekolah Tinta gathered its students for the annual exhibition which is its first and biggest yet, after the pandemic wave hits. Over these few months, the students and teachers had been actively analysing the intersection between Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M) subjects and the study of humanity in the past. Sekolah Tinta, established in 2017 is a private school with national curricular for primary and secondary level education. Setting itself apart from other schools, Sekolah Tinta injects four disciplines of S.T.E.M at its core. The students have been exposed with project-based learning, inquiry-driven approach and real-life applications, reflected in the exhibition. The exhibition, called S.T.E.M Across Exhibition, is a platform for students of Sekolah Tinta to present their learning outcomes in uncovering the S.T.E.M components that have been used since back in the day. As it is open to the public, all the crowds grabbed the chance to glimpse the hidden S.T.E.M in famous national landmarks and cultural assets of each state in Malaysia. “It is the first time we combine the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M) subjects into something contrasting, which is history. We love to see the hard work of these students come to life and we are able to see their excitement and blossoming passion towards S.T.E.M,” said Dr. Haliza Idris, the Principal of Sekolah Tinta. She added, “Through this learning process, the students learn to apply their knowledge and upskill themselves by combining different disciplines, not just one. This skill is critical in preparing them for future workforces towards Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0), as well as surviving the real life challenges when they finish school.” Launched by Pn. Yuhana Yaacob, the Senior Principal Assistant Director at Private Education Division of Selangor Education Department (JPNS), the school is expected to become an exemplary school to other private schools with national curriculum in the country. In order to expand the students’ knowledge, this kind of exhibition is a need. Each exhibit was made out of recyclable wastes, woven with new technology and artistic creativity. Among the states exhibited were Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Pahang, Kedah, Terengganu, Kelantan, Pulau Pinang, Melaka, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah and Sarawak. Esteemed organisations such as Petrosains, Exploria, Pandai app and Mommy Happy were also present as its official exhibition partners. Schedule cleaning time Even if we did all those above things, somehow it gets tangled and too many things might need to be done at a time. Assalammualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Wahai sahabatku, Kemerdekaan ini adalah satu anugerah istimewa oleh Allah buat kita semua. Kepayahan dan kesusahan orang dahulu mendapatkannya adalah jerih perih yang sukar untuk kita bayangkan malah untuk dicari ganti. Mereka pernah hidup dalam ketakutan, putus sumber makanan, kehilangan ahli keluarga seorang demi seorang dek kerana berusaha mempertahankan maruah bangsa dan kedaulatan negara. Usaha puluhan tahun ini bukanlah drama yang direka tetapi ia adalah realiti dan sejarah buat kita dan generasi hari ini untuk melihat kemerdekaan ini dengan penuh kesyukuran. Pastinya di sebalik lipatan sejarah ini, ada pahlawan yang didendang namanya dan ramai lagi yang kekal rahsia pengorbanannya dan kesungguhannya di tangan Sang Pencipta. Kita semua yakin, kejayaan ini bukanlah diraih dengan hasil titik peluh seorang pahlawan tetapi ia adalah keringat bersama oleh mereka yang melihat usaha mencapai kemerdekaan ini sebagai perjuangan penting buat anak bangsa tercinta. Hasilnya, 64 tahun telah kita rasai usaha kemerdekaan dan kebebasan berkat pengorbanan insan yang terpilih ini. Ya Allah terimalah usaha dan pengorbanan mereka semua. Sahabatku, Dunia hari ini diuji dengan musuh baru yang tanpa sedar sudah meragut ribuan nyawa manusia. Musibah ini menjadikan kita semua kembali takut serta bimbang. Ada yang terputus sumber makanan dan ramai pula yang dihurung kesedihan dan kepayahan kerana tiada kebebasan untuk mengurus kehidupan harian. Lihat di sekeliling kita, ia bukan fantasi, ia adalah realiti yang bakal menjadi sejarah penting buat generasi akan datang. Hakikatnya, kita semua diajar melalui musibah ini bahawa tiada resepi segera untuk menghadapinya. Tiada juga jalan pintas untuk menyelesaikannya. Solusi yang tuntas adalah datang dari kebersamaan dan usaha setiap daripada kita untuk mencari jalan penyelesaian atau sekurang-kurangnya bertahan dan saling menguatkan sebelum datangnya sinar dihujung perjuangan. Sudah pasti laluan ini agak sukar tetapi kita harus yakin yang kita mampu untuk menghadapinya. Kita mampu untuk menyelesaikan misi sehingga ke akhirnya. Sepertimana orang dahulu berjuang untuk meraih kemerdekaan buat anak bangsa tercinta begitulah juga kita perlu terus bersemangat hari ini untuk berusaha mengembalikan suasana sihat dan damai yang pernah diraih selama ini agar terus dinikmati oleh diri kita dan generasi kita semua. Sahabatku, Setiap kedamaian ada perjuangan, Setiap perjuangan ada pahlawan, Setiap pahlawan ada gerakan, Setiap gerakan ada usaha, Dan setiap usaha…pastikan ada KITA. Semoga Allah beri kita kekuatan untuk hadapi ujian kali ini dan semoga ia menjadi asbab untuk Allah kumpulkan kita semua di dalam syurga. Ujian ini untuk semua, KITA USAHA KITA BERJAYA! ViSPA 1.0 (Virtual Students Parents Activity)
ViSPA 1.0 today runs its course as students are able to learn through games and fun activities. It is an opportunity for parents to be the teacher of the day for the students. The different approach towards learning create an active and positive learning experience for the student. Sekolah Tinta hopes the different in the approach would expand one’s view and perspective. As Ramadan fast approach, a topic on Ramadan itself was covered today. Student were taught the dos and don’ts in Ramadan. It is serve as a reminder for the students as to what the month of Ramadan means. In another session, students were taught the basics of Japanese language. The diversification in learning indirectly also expose the students to the different culture that exist in the world. Life experience too were shared during the session. After enjoying a day of learning, teachers, in this case, parents could not help but advice the young ones. Sekolah Tinta hopes such event would create a closer bond between the school, parents and students.
Aspirasi Murid
Sekolah Tinta amat menitikberatkan pencapaian akademik dan juga pembentukan keperibadian murid. Dalam membentuk murid menjadi pemimpin, kemampuan bekerja dengan berkesan dan memimpin orang lain amatlah penting. Terutamanya dalam dunia yang saling berkait. Keupayaan bekerja secara berkesan dalam satu pasukan bagi setiap murid mencapai potensi masing-masing amat diperlukan dalam dunia pekerjaan. Dalam konteks pendidikan, kepimpinan mempunyai empat unsur iaitu keusahawanan, berdaya tahan, kecerdasan emosi dan ketrampilan komunikasi. Pertama, keusahawanan ialah mengambil inisiatif untuk mewujudkan dan membangunkan penyelesaian sendiri, dan bagi tujuan itu sanggup membuat pelaburan daripada sumber sendiri, serta terdorong untuk memastikan penyelesaian itu dizahirkan. Kedua, berdaya tahan dalam membina cara berfikir yang konstruktif serta mampu menghadapi rintangan. Ketiga, kecerdasan emosi, seorang murid itu berupaya memahami dan bekerja secara berkesan dengan orang lain serta mampu mempengaruhi mereka secara positif. Yang terakhirnya, ketrampilan komunikasi yang berupaya memberikan pendapat dan hasrat secara lisan dan bertulis dengan jelas. Unsur – unsur yang di nyatakan di atas jelas terlihat dalam aktiviti yang diusahakan Sekolah Tinta. Program yang berasaskan projek, kerja berkumpulan dan aktiviti luar bilik darjah seperti Amazing ME Race, Scavenger Hunt dan Maths Freak. Program ini secara langsung atau tidak langsung mampu membantu membangunkan keperibadian murid.
