As Robert Swan wisely articulated, “The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” Regrettably, many individuals go about their lives with the notion that other people will step forward to safeguard our Earth. What they fail to realise is that this sentiment could be pervasive, residing in the hearts of each and every one of us. Ultimately, if no one takes action, this collective inaction could lead to dire consequences.
To break free from this passive mindset, Sekolah Tinta has seized the opportunity to centre this year’s “Build Back Better Students Exhibition” around the theme of “Responsible Consumption and Production,” aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 12 (SDG 12). It is not just an event, it is a movement. This undertaking aims to shift the narrative, inspiring proactive engagement in the pursuit of a sustainable future.

- The Rhythm Rhapsody: The Debut of the Tinta Dikir Barat Team!
The exhibition began with the Dikir Barat performance by the Tinta Dikir Barat Team. The rhythm started to play and the ‘tok juara’ and ‘tukang karut’ began to wow the crowd with their very first performance. They played traditional Malay music with drums and sang rhythmic poems, putting on a show that was truly captivating. The audience couldn’t help but cheer for them! This talented group not only showed off their amazing musical skills but also their dedication to keeping Dikir Barat traditions alive. It was a special moment that everyone will remember. We’re excited to see more from this fantastic team in the future!
- The 16 Corners of Impact
At the heart of the Build Back Better exhibition were the 16 vibrant booths, each meticulously designed to represent the essential elements of SDG-12. These booths served as dynamic showcases, embodying the theme of sustainable development and highlighting the critical importance of responsible consumption and production.
