AUTOMATION – DRIVING THE FUTURE FORWARD!

The Sekolah Tinta STEM Exhibition 2024 proudly celebrates its 6th year of showcasing student innovation and excellence in STEM. Centered around the theme Automation, this year’s exhibition highlights the transformative advancements and critical role of automation across diverse industries.

ABOUT TINTA STEM EXHIBITION

This event will serve as a platform for students to present their projects, demonstrating their creativity, technical skills, and understanding of how automation is shaping the future. From robotics and AI to smart systems, the exhibition will feature a diverse range of projects that highlight the innovative spirit of our students. The exhibition will showcase 15 booths representing each class and approximately 60 individuals displaying their STEM projects along with selective cross subject projects.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

Foster Community Engagement

Open the event to the public to foster a connection between the school and the community, inviting local businesses, educators, and families to participate by inviting them to participate in and support the event.

Enhance School Reputation

Position Sekolah Tinta as a leader in STEM education by showcasing the quality of its programs, faculty, and students, thereby attracting prospective students and gaining recognition within the community.

Promote STEM Education

Highlight the importance of STEM fields in preparing students for future careers, encouraging more students to engage with these subjects and pursue them further.

Showcase Student Achievements

Provide a platform for students to present their STEM projects, demonstrating their skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

Encourage Collaboration and Innovation

Create opportunities for students to work together, learn from each other, and think critically about real-world problems, fostering a collaborative and innovative spirit.

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) is Malaysia’s lead government agency under the purview of the Ministry of Digital, driving the transformation of the nation into a globally competitive digital economy. Established in 1996, MDEC spearheads initiatives to catalyze growth in digital industries, fostering innovation, talent development, and investment. Through programs like MyDigitalMaker and Digital Skills Training, MDEC empowers businesses and individuals with future-ready skills, enabling digital adoption and opportunities. It acts as a bridge connecting the government, industry, and academia to achieve a sustainable, inclusive digital ecosystem. MDEC’s mission is to advance Malaysia as the ASEAN Digital Hub, propelling progress in digital transformation and economic growth.

The Universiti Malaya STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Centre, also known as UM STEM Centre, was established in January 2019. This centre provides a platform for STEM education activities that encourage students ranging from preschool to higher education levels, to engage in STEM education. The UM STEM Centre will work closely with several organizations such as the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation, Academy of Sciences Malaysia, National STEM Association, IMT-GT Uninet STEM, as well as NGO and industry players. This collaboration aims to create targeted upskilling platforms and explore the use of hybrid learning and technology-mediated instruction models that can enhance the student learning experience.

WAU Animation is a CG animation studio formed on 18th March 2013 by a group of  creative talents possessing up to 17 years of experience in producing multiple  award-winning CG animated series and feature film. This homegrown team is known  for its script-to-screen creation of Ejen Ali, an IP that was first introduced in 2016  through a TV Series and has since grown into a household name, airing in over 65  countries globally, garnering multiple local and international accolades. Aside from  creating IP, WAU provides 3D Animation servicing to local and international clientele  as well as collaborating with other studios and institution of higher education on  projects that are exciting and engaging. Aside from production, WAU also takes up  consultation services in providing content through strong story-telling properties and  creative consultation.

EXPLORIA is an award-winning STEM and TVET company transforming education through innovative EXPLORIA kits, that emphasizes hands-on learning experiences. EXPLORIA has almost 120 hands-on kits comprising art, science and robotic for children.

Recognized for its commitment to sustainability and impactful initiatives, including a prestigious award from UNICEF and MRANTI, EXPLORIA inspires children to explore science, technology, and creativity. Its engaging programs—such as pop-up labs, robotics competitions, VR demonstrations, and biodiversity explorations—combine education with fun, sparking curiosity in young minds.

EXPLORIA also collaborates with schools, libraries, and organizations to create MakerHubs.
